Summer at Maihaugen
Step back in time at Maihaugen – Norway’s largest open-air museum, beautifully located just above Lillehammer town centre.
Throughout the summer, the museum offers exciting experiences for the whole family. Join guided tours, enjoy mime theatre and step inside historic houses where knowledgeable hosts share stories of life in the past. Costumed actors bring the museum to life.
Explore the rural idyll of the 19th century, with charming farmsteads, grazing animals and farmers at work. In the Town of 1900, you can shop over the counter, and take a look inside homes and workshops.
Visit Garmo stave church, explore exhibitions, or take a break at one of our eateries.
